DET COVID-19 Health and Safety Policy for Travellers

Travel regulations with regard to COVID are continually changing. It is your responsibility to check the requirements of entry to the UK, for your carrier and for your return to your home nation. Be aware that things can change at short notice.

At Discover England Tours we are taking the following measures to protect our clients and ourselves.

  1. Paul and Susy who will be your driver and tour guide are fully vaccinated. We require you to be fully vaccinated too and will ask to see your proof of vaccination.

  2. If you test positive for COVID-19 during the 14 days prior to my tour departure date, you will notify DET and acknowledge that you will not be able to join the tour. Standard cancellation terms will apply.

  3. We will wear masks in the car and ask you to do the same. We will provide suitable masks. Please do not bring your own cloth masks.

  4. We will clean our cars frequently and provide hand sanitising gel for your use. We recommend that you wash your hands frequently and carry hand sanitising gel with you for use when away from the car.

  5. We may use natural ventilation in the car rather than air-conditioning where possible.

  6. The locations that you visit may have their own COVID entry requirements and we ask you to observe these.

  7. We strongly advise you to wear a mask when you are visiting crowded indoor spaces.

  8. We ask you to monitor your own health and to only join your tour if you are feeling well. If you start to feel unwell or display COVID symptoms at any time during your tour you must inform us immediately and take a COVID test. COVID rapid tests are available for purchase in pharmacies and supermarkets. You might prefer to bring your own. We will not continue with your planned tour if any member of the group tests positive with COVID.

Your adherence to this policy as mandatory.

Also note that at present:

The US requires arriving international passengers (including US citizens) to show a negative COVID-19 test result, taken within one day of your flight. You'll also need to sign an "attestation".
